High Performance Habits

A practical workshop to help your high-performers stay sharp, steady, and engaged despite the pressure.

You really care about your most dedicated people, whether they are senior leaders, or the newly appointed managers.

They are your best and brightest performers. You want to set them up to succeed as they take on more responsibilities, and balance high pressure demands both at work and outside of work.

You have given them leadership training and they have an amazing benefits package with access to resources and professional support.

But you can tell they are tired and seem to always have a coffee in hand. Maybe they are even becoming more irritable, snapping at people, or sending out emails in the middle of the night.

You worry that your top performers are overextending themselves and that you could end up losing them to burnout or exhaustion.

You’ve tried different things to make it better, with limited impact…

You’ve suggested that they turn their notifications off and not feel obligated to answer email after-hours and on weekends. But there’s still this pressure to “be on” all the time.

You’ve given them flexibility to work from home and you encourage them to take days off and use their vacation time, but these are just bandaids or temporary solutions.

Maybe you’ve created a meditation or nap room in the office. But people are hesitant to use it because they simply have no time and don’t want to look like they’re “slacking”.

You’ve sent reminders to use the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and their benefits but these have limited impact on the daily issues they’re facing.

The reality is……

The work pressure is real and the expectations are high. Your leaders want to role model high performance and dedication. They are afraid to slow down because the load will fall on their teams, or they’ll come back to even more work. But by constantly being on, they are reaching exhaustion. They are becoming irritable, have trouble making smart decisions, and are even sending nasty emails.

Personal stress is also a real thing that affects how they’re showing up to work: Whether it’s sick kids, children with mental health challenges, close friends going through cancer treatments, aging parents needing support, or a relationship breakdown. You know that these things can be the breaking point for high performers.

But what can you really do about it, that you aren’t already doing?

Think about it: If a computer malfunctions, you call I.T., but what if a person doesn’t seem as sharp and on the ball as they once were? What if the personal stress is high and out of your hands? Do you just encourage them to access EAP services or take a stress leave?

There’s a big gap that is not covered by leadership training or by your benefits provider. Many high performers end up learning the hard way, and they only access the EAP and benefits once they’ve hit the breaking point. By this point, they need a stress leave or they quit altogether.

This is costly and preventable.

High performers NEED high performance habits so that they can:

      • Maintain their mental bandwidth and positive attitude
      • Avoid burnout and brain fog
      • Stay sharp and steady under stress
      • Optimize sleep, nutrition, and prevent decision fatigue
      • Regulate their nervous system in high-pressure moments
      • Juggle leadership and personal responsibilities without breaking down

What if…….there was a simple way to help your high performers eliminate brain fog, feel sharp, clear-headed, confident, fully engaged, and able to collaborate without any irritability or negative attitudes? The solution is surprisingly simple when they know what to do… Let us guide the way.

Let’s start with a practical 90 min workshop (online or in-person) where your people will learn the five habits that increase:

    • mental sharpness and clarity so that they can make crucial decisions under pressure
    • ability to focus and concentrate, so they can get the important strategic work done even when they feel pulled in ten other directions
    • the ability to turn off the busy mind so they can get good quality and restorative sleep, and show up energized and refreshed for every new day
    • the ability to handle stress and conflict with a clear mind, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude.

This is not another passive presentation for people to watch while multitasking. This is a highly engaging, evidence-based, hands-on, transformative workshop that will get your high performers engaged in deep reflection, and brain-centered training. By the end of the workshop, participants will not only know what they need but commit to adopting real impactful high performance habits.

When people understand that their brain (and their nervous system) needs maintenance and that there are simple daily habits that make all the difference to how clearly they can think, how well they can rest & recover from one day to the next, and how positive they are able to feel about their work & the people around them, it’s a no brainer. People want to feel at their best and they want to perform at their best – not only with their colleagues but also with their loved ones. The secret to ongoing high performance is not about time management, or how hard you work, or how dedicated you are, or how good you are at setting boundaries; it’s about giving the brain and the nervous system exactly what they need in order to sustain high performance without falling ill, developing brain fog, experiencing decision fatigue, becoming irritable, reaching exhaustion, or having a mental health crisis.

FAQ:

❓Who is this workshop designed for?

This workshop is ideal for high-performing employees, newly appointed managers, and seasoned leaders who want to sustain their performance without burning out. It’s especially relevant for individuals juggling intense professional responsibilities alongside personal ones, like caregiving or parenting.

We recommend between 10 to 40 participants for optimal interaction, but larger groups can be accommodated with slight adjustments to the format.

Not at all. The session is carefully designed to feel psychologically safe and uplifting. While it includes self-reflection and group discussion, participants are never asked to share anything personal they’re uncomfortable with.

This is not a passive lunch-and-learn. It’s a science-based, hands-on workshop that addresses the real root causes of brain fog, fatigue, and burnout. It fills the critical gap between leadership training and employee benefits by focusing on the one skill that every leader needs to develop but is rarely included in their leadership training: how to develop the habits that sustain high performance despite personal and work-related stressors.

Yes! We can tailor the examples, discussion prompts, and delivery style to your team’s context, industry, or leadership level.

This 90-minute session is designed to stand on its own—and it can also be the first step in a larger leadership and performance program.

While this workshop doesn’t include a formal assessment, participants will complete a brief self-assessment at the start and end so they can reflect on their own awareness, energy levels, and existing habits. Many organizations also use internal feedback or pulse surveys to track engagement after the session.

The Decision Is Yours

Right now, you have two choices:

Option 1

Keep doing what you’ve been doing—checking in one-on-one with your high performers, offering flexibility, encouraging time off, reminding them about their benefits and EAP, and hoping it’s enough. But without the right habits to protect their brain health and sustain their energy, the signs will continue: brain fog, over-dependance on caffeine, irritability, disengagement, and eventually, sick leave, burnout or resignation. The cost of losing just one top performer (financially, culturally, and strategically) can be staggering.

Option 2

Bring in Ginny Santos to lead High Performance Habits workshop and give your leaders the science-backed, highly practical strategies they need to sustain their own high expectations—without burning out, AND set a good example for the rest of the organization at the same time. You’ll show your top talent that you truly have their back, while increasing focus, resilience, and retention across your leadership team.

This workshop is one of a kind because it fills a critical gap: it’s not leadership theory, not generic wellness tips, and not a one-way presentation. It’s an engaging, transformative experience designed specifically to help high performers thrive under pressure—so they can keep doing the work they love, and keep delivering for your organization.
