In our work as consultants and facilitators over the years, we’ve benefited from the active participation of youth in events we’ve attended, facilitated or organized. Whether it’s as speakers, panelists, storytellers, organizers or a multitude of other roles, youth participants bring new perspectives, original ideas, valuable input, unique skills and expertise, and fresh voices to any project.
And now our clients will get to benefit from youth participation as well!
Through our new partnership with the Students Commission of Canada, we will train four youth who are SCC team members in how to support and facilitate virtual engagement.
How will our clients benefit? We’re counting on our new partners to introduce different ways of gathering and facilitating that reflect a diverse population and help us design even more fabulous events for Neolé’s clients. We’re hoping they can show us a thing or two about “gamification” of virtual events and help with integrating new technology that enhances engagement and interaction in client events. And, as anyone who has ever called upon their resident tween or teen to solve a technical issue can attest, youth provide the BEST tech support ever!
We very much value diverse perspectives and meaningful youth engagement. We’re looking forward to our new partners becoming integral to the team in Fall 2021.
