Overview

A growing hybrid organization partnered with Neolé during a period of organizational change. While the team was deeply committed to collaboration and a people-centered culture, day-to-day realities made alignment difficult.

Busy schedules, competing priorities, and constant pressure were getting in the way of clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration. Leaders cared deeply, but good intentions were not always translating into shared understanding or consistent action.

Neolé was brought in to design a learning journey that would strengthen collaboration, improve communication, and help leaders and teams work together more effectively in a hybrid environment.

Challenges

The organization faced several interconnected challenges:

      • Siloed communication across teams and departments
      • Misalignment between leadership intention and lived experience
      • Repeated conversations without resolution
      • Limited shared language around collaboration and conflicting thinking styles
      • Change fatigue during a period of transition

Leaders wanted more than a one-off workshop. They were looking for lasting change in how people think, collaborate, and solve problems together.

Solution

Neolé designed a highly experiential, science-informed learning journey grounded in trust, self-awareness, and practical application.

The process began with interviews with one third of the leadership team to understand challenges from multiple perspectives. These insights shaped two customized training sessions for staff and a full-day leadership development program.

The experience included:

      • Trust-building opening exercises to create safety and connection
      • Training on collaborative thinking and balancing creative and critical thinking
      • FourSight assessments to highlight the value in psychological diversity and thinking styles
      • Experiential learning of the SCARF Model to increase awareness of brain-based responses at work
      • Play-based methods, including Playmobil pro.play, to surface bottlenecks and co-create a shared understanding of the current reality as well as the preferred future
      • Guided reflection to help participants notice the gap between intention and impact

Sessions emphasized purposeful play, hands-on practice, and real conversation, with minimal presentation.

To ensure learning translated into action, the program included three months of follow-up coaching for select leaders.

Outcome

The impact was immediate and visible.

From the first session, energy shifted. The room was engaged, open, and collaborative. Participants laughed, spoke honestly, and gained practical insights they could apply right away.

Key outcomes included:

      • A shared language for collaboration, thinking styles, and psychological safety
      • Increased trust and openness across teams
      • Clear visibility into cross-team dependencies and communication bottlenecks
      • Actionable ideas for continuous improvement
      • Concrete solutions already being implemented

By combining neuroscience, creative problem-solving, and coaching, Neolé helped the organization move from good intentions to aligned action, strengthening collaboration and setting the foundation for sustained performance and retention.
